R134a is a refrigerant used in automotive air conditioning (A/C) systems to cool the vehicle's interior by circulating cool air and drawing out warm air. It's a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant that was widely used in cars manufactured before 2017, and while phasing out, it's still used in older vehicles.
